CWE was founded in 2008 by Layla Forgiarini and Ed Bouchard, both long-time and active members of the music scene. Initially, CWE was focusing exclusively on country music, demand for other music genre artists, however, let CWE expand its genre range. The company works with an extensive net of professionals spanning two continents.
For many years, Layla has been involved in running the Country Music Club of Italy in her region, promoting country music thru dancing and live country music events with local and European artists. In ddition, she has been hosting country music radio shows on three stations in Northern Itaaly and was a partner in Country Power Station, the only Italian web radio exclusively dedicated to country music. She has also been in charge of A&R for a major Italian Country Music Festival. Layla is also very active in the dance scene, as managing director of the popular International Italian Country & Western Dance Championship. At CWE, Layla is responsible for artist relations and event logistics.
Ed is a Swiss citizen with an extensive background in marketing and communications. He received his business education in Switzerland and the USA. As head of his own advertising and pr agency, he was also co-founder and long-time president of a European marketing agency network. He helped launch Country Night Gstaad, Europe's leading country music event, for which he was instrumental in building the image and the reputation with professional marketing communications work. Over the years other festivals also sought his advice. As member and vice-chairman of the Country Music Federation of Switzerland, he was also involved in creating and publishing a country music magazine. At CWE Ed is in charge of venues, media, markets, and partners.
