This is the title of the new Stephanie Urbina Jones album, which was released in February. It features 15 beautiful and emotional songs, all self-penned except the two she wrote with her old songwriting pal Marc Marchetti. The album has long been in the working.
She calls it one woman’s prayer in the dark and journey of faith in song. It deals with a not so happy period in her life and she describes working on the album a liberating and at the same time scary process.
Whereas the San Antonio native is passionate about bringing the Hispanic and Latin heritage to the Country/Americana music worlds and beyond through her unique blend of bicultural music, with this album she used a new color to paint her collection of powerful Texicana country rock songs.
SHAMAN HEART has been well received by European radio stations, it even earned the Americana Album of the Month distinction by one station.
