What comes to your mind first when you hear someone mention Mike Blakely? Singer/songwriter or novelist? Probably singer/songwriter although he is an award-winning author with close to 20 books to his credit. As an author, however, he goes largely unnoticed in Europe since his books, to our knowledge, are not translated.
As a performing songwriter, he has released more than a dozen albums. His latest, The Outside Circle, just came out last month. It deals unsurprisingly with cowboys life and the American West, the theme dominating his music and writing.
Mike is no stranger to European country music lovers. In the course of his many tours throughout Europe, he has won a lot of fans. He would love to tour Europe again. So, if you know of any fans who’d like to see him come back, let us know. We can get him over here.
